Role Overview:
This position involves providing direct patient care within a busy acute care unit, managing a variety of clinical conditions such as blood dyscrasias, endocrine issues, heart and renal failure, and infectious diseases. The nurse collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, including case managers, social workers, therapists, and physicians, to deliver high-quality care.
Responsibilities include:
- Promoting patient and family-centered care through education on illness management, medication, and post-discharge needs.
- Participating in safety, quality, and compliance activities, and engaging in ongoing professional development.
- Developing and documenting individualized care plans, coordinating communication across the care continuum.
- Assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and cultural factors.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum: Nursing diploma or associate’s degree, RN license, no prior experience required.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing and at least two years of experience.
