Physical/Occupational Therapy Manager

Role Overview: Responsible for coordinating and delivering Occupational, Physical, and Speech Therapy services, overseeing clinical care in inpatient and outpatient settings. Develops and supervises therapy programs aligned with departmental objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Self-assess and pursue ongoing professional development; share knowledge with colleagues.
  • Establish rapport and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, patients, families, and diverse populations.
  • Communicate clearly with team members and patients.
  • Seek and provide professional feedback to improve interactions.
  • Apply logical reasoning to identify and solve problems; evaluate data and develop solutions.
  • Maintain compliance with policies, safety, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in training, mentorship, and departmental development activities.
  • Assess patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and modify interventions based on evaluations.
  • Document patient progress and assist with discharge planning and adaptive equipment recommendations.
  • Promote evidence-based practices and participate in departmental activities.
  • Coordinate therapy services on assigned units, manage logistics, and ensure effective communication.
  • Manage departmental budgets and staff scheduling to meet operational goals.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED; Doctorate in Physical Therapy or related field; Master’s in Occupational Therapy or higher.
  • Licensure as a Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience: Preferably 5 years of clinical practice.
