Part Time Occupational Therapist

Role Overview: This position involves assessing, planning, and implementing rehabilitative occupational therapy programs to restore or enhance patients’ daily functioning, mobility, cognition, strength, coordination, and range of motion. The therapist collaborates with physicians and patients to develop personalized treatment plans, set achievable goals, and ensure effective discharge strategies. Responsibilities include patient evaluation, treatment delivery, education, documentation, and adherence to regulatory standards. The role emphasizes compassionate customer service, ethical practices, teamwork, and continuous professional development. The therapist also fosters a positive environment, applies service recovery principles, and participates in staff education and training.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree)
  • Licensure as an Occupational Therapist
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), BLS Instructor, BLS Provisional
  • Effective communication, customer service orientation, team collaboration, and basic computer skills
  • Key Duties:

  • Establish and evaluate treatment plans with patient and physician input
  • Implement therapy activities, revise goals as needed, and provide patient and family education
  • Document evaluations, treatment sessions, discharge plans, and patient progress
  • Maintain ethical standards, confidentiality, and compliance with regulations
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, mandatory training, and team meetings
