Role Overview: The RN Resident is a newly licensed nurse participating in a comprehensive 12-month Nurse Residency Program designed to support transition into professional practice.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver safe, patient-centered care using evidence-based practices; collaborate effectively within interprofessional teams; demonstrate teamwork, professionalism, and initiative; promote research and quality improvement activities; and support resource management.
Core Duties: Perform nursing processes including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation; ensure culturally competent care; document accurately; participate in performance improvement initiatives; and serve as preceptor or mentor.
Qualifications & Skills: Must hold a diploma from an accredited nursing program, with a BSN preferred, and be licensed as a RN (compact or single state). Certifications in BLS and RN licensure are required. Less than one year of RN experience is necessary.
