This role is for a Weekend Respiratory Therapist II working night shifts (7pm-7am) in a critical care setting.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing medication administration and respiratory care based on advanced knowledge and protocols
- Managing ventilators, performing airway procedures, and analyzing arterial blood gases
- Assessing patients, collaborating with healthcare team members, and educating patients and families
- Mentoring new staff and students
- Ensuring safety and quality through proper documentation, promoting evidence-based practices, and supporting performance improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program with at least 20 science hours
- Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s preferred
- 0-2 years clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care
- Registered Respiratory Therapist and Respiratory Care Professional certification required
- Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications required
