Role Overview

The Lead Caregiver serves as a shift leader in senior care, ensuring high-quality, consistent resident care while supporting and coaching team members.
Responsibilities include leading shift assignments, managing attendance, providing hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), reviewing charting to align with Individualized Service Plans (ISP), monitoring resident changes, and communicating concerns promptly.
Additionally, the role involves mentoring new staff, promoting safety and compliance, and ensuring smooth shift transitions.

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma/GED and 18+ years of age
• CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications
• Strong communication, delegation, and decision-making skills
• Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care environments

Key Duties

• Lead shift operations and coordinate team coverage
• Provide direct resident support and ensure quality standards
• Coach and mentor caregiving staff
• Monitor resident health and communicate concerns
• Support onboarding and promote safety and compliance
