Role Overview

The Medication Aide/Med Tech is responsible for administering medications and treatments safely and accurately to residents, ensuring dignity and compliance with regulations. They follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration, document in MAR/TAR in real-time, monitor residents during and after medication passes, and report any concerns promptly. Maintaining organized medication carts and adhering to infection control standards are essential duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer medications per physician orders
• Observe residents for health changes and symptoms
• Complete narcotic counts and maintain documentation accuracy
• Ensure medication safety and prevent errors
• Follow safety and infection control protocols

Qualifications & Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED, age 18+
• Medication Administration certification
• CPR and First Aid certifications
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Preferred experience in senior care
