Caregiver (Personal Care Assistant)

Role Overview

The caregiver provides hands-on support to seniors, promoting their safety, dignity, and independence. They assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and personal care, following individualized service plans and documenting any changes. Engaging residents through conversation and activities is essential, especially in Memory Care settings where creating enriching experiences for residents with memory loss is prioritized.

Key Responsibilities include supporting dining services, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and effectively communicating with families and care team members.

Qualifications & Skills required are a high school diploma or GED, age 18+, CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain), and qualities such as compassion, reliability, and strong communication skills.
