Role: Laboratory Supervisor overseeing daily lab operations, staff supervision, instrument implementation, and compliance with regulatory standards such as GDCH, CAP, CLIA, OSHA, FDA, and TJC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage laboratory personnel, ensure accurate and timely reporting of tests to support patient care.
- Develop and implement training programs for new staff and maintain adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Perform routine laboratory duties to validate results and ensure quality performance.
- Evaluate new instrumentation and procedures to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Handle administrative tasks including payroll, scheduling, supply ordering, and inventory management.
- Collaborate with the lab manager to address complaints and monitor testing protocols.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines and internal policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Medical Science, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of laboratory experience.
- Certifications such as MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), or equivalent required upon hire.
- Strong leadership, technical, and regulatory knowledge.
