Clinical Education Specialist – GI

Role Overview:

This Clinical Nurse Specialist supports a 38-bed surgical unit specializing in Colorectal and Urology surgeries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate education and practice programs for clinical staff to enhance patient care.
  • Manage hospital-wide educational initiatives and resources supporting clinical educators and leaders.
  • Design cost-effective training programs aligned with adult learning principles, including orientation and ongoing professional development.
  • Collaborate with healthcare administration, staff, and leadership to develop and implement educational plans meeting regulatory standards.
  • Analyze educational needs and assess the effectiveness of training activities.
  • Ensure programs meet or exceed national standards for continuing education.
  • Qualifications & Skills:
  • Master’s Degree required.
  • 2-5 years of experience, with preferred qualifications of 5-10 years.
  • Licenses such as RN or RRT are required.
  • Strong collaboration, educational design, and program management skills are essential.
  • Additional Details:
    This onsite role offers a Monday-Friday schedule with no weekends, focusing on supporting clinical staff development and patient care excellence.
