Role Overview:
The MRI Technician performs diagnostic imaging procedures using MRI and other modalities to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. They prepare patients and equipment, conduct studies independently, and operate in on-call and portable settings. Cross-training in MRI is available for Registered Radiologic Technologists (R.T.(R)).
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients and equipment for imaging procedures.
- Perform studies independently and in various clinical settings.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Associate degree or trade school equivalent.
- Licenses & Certifications: IEMA (excluding MRI), RTR, CT, MR, M, BD, CI, VI, RCIS, RCES.
- Preferred Experience: 2+ years in imaging.
- Certifications: CPR, Intravenous Therapy.
Key Duties:
- Ensure proper preparation of patients and equipment for diagnostic procedures.
- Conduct imaging studies accurately, efficiently, and independently.
- Participate in call, holiday, and weekend rotations as required.
