Role Overview:
We are seeking a Float Technician to support Oncology/Infusion Pharmacy workflows at a comprehensive cancer center. The role involves working across Ambulatory Infusion, Investigational Drug Services, and Specialty Retail, primarily handling medication preparation, dispensing, sterile and non-sterile compounding, inventory management, and documentation. The technician serves as a resource for complex issues, supports process improvements, and maintains quality standards.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing medication orders and supporting workflow management
- Assisting with inventory activities such as storage, ordering, and rotation
- Training staff and maintaining electronic/automated systems
- Ensuring regulatory compliance and documentation accuracy
- Developing proficiency in complex sterile compounds and other specialized tasks
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-5 years of experience; preferred 5-10 years
- Licensed in Illinois and Missouri with valid Pharmacy Tech Certification and State Board Registration
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, compounding, inventory, and system maintenance
Skills:
