Role Overview:
The Radiology Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures on adult and pediatric patients to aid in diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities include preparing patients and equipment, explaining procedures with professionalism, and independently conducting radiographic examinations, including portable and on-call tasks. The role requires a high level of customer service and technical competence.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate or Trade School education
- Radiology Technologist registration (preferred)
- Licenses such as IEMA (Illinois) and CPR certification (preferred)
- Experience preferred, but not required; 2 years experience is a plus
- Ability to perform procedures independently and communicate effectively with patients and staff
Key Duties:
- Prepare patients and equipment for imaging procedures
- Provide instructions and ensure patient comfort
- Perform radiographic exams accurately and efficiently
- Respond promptly to service requests and deliver quality imaging results
