Role Overview:
The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) provides leadership in a 42-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit, supporting daily operations, clinical oversight, staff development, and maintaining high standards of patient care. The ANM acts as a mentor, resource, and clinical leader to foster a positive, collaborative work environment, requiring strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage staff recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and professional development.
- Participate in staffing, budgeting, and resource management to meet operational goals.
- Oversee patient care, ensuring interventions are appropriate to patient needs and documented properly.
- Develop collaborative care plans based on assessments and medical treatment.
- Supervise staff productivity, conduct performance reviews, and handle disciplinary actions.
- Ensure safety standards and work in a safety-sensitive environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- RN License.
- 2+ years of RN experience; leadership experience preferred.
- Additional experience of 5-10 years and supervisory experience under 2 years are preferred.
