ICU/IMC Charge RN – Weekend Nights

Role Overview:
The Charge Nurse supervises nursing activities, ensuring safe, efficient patient care in compliance with hospital policies. They delegate tasks to staff, oversee clinical records, manage supplies, and assist with staff performance reports.

Key Responsibilities:
– Lead and coordinate nursing care, including patient assessment, treatment, and evaluation.
– Develop, revise, and support the Plan of Care involving patients and families.
– Ensure accurate documentation of patient care activities.
– Provide patient education and act as a clinical resource.
– Manage department operations, staffing, and inventory standards.
– Lead quality improvement initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote safety standards.

Qualifications & Skills:
– Registered Nurse with an active license and a minimum of two years’ critical care experience.
– Charge nurse experience preferred.
– Education: Diploma, Associate’s Degree, or BSN.
– Certifications: BLS required; ACLS, PALS, and other unit-specific certifications may be required.
– Physical ability to lift, stand, and perform clinical duties.
