Role: Full-time RN Acute Care in the Surgery/Bariatric unit, working night shifts (7p-7a).
Responsibilities:
- Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using evidence-based practice.
- Provide individualized, relationship-based, patient-centered care respecting cultural diversity.
- Partner with patients and families, ensuring clear communication and shared goals.
- Coordinate safe, quality care through interdisciplinary collaboration and timely documentation.
- Support performance improvement, research, and evidence-based initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Mentor and serve as a preceptor to promote a qualified, professional nursing workforce.
- Develop protocols, participate in data collection, and optimize resource use.
- Adhere to organizational policies, standards, and ethical guidelines.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
- GA or Compact Nursing License, BLS, and at least 2 years RN experience (less than 1 year acceptable with clinical hours).
- Ability to work 7:00 pm – 7:00 am, three days a week.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
