Role Overview: This position involves providing safe, high-quality MRI imaging services through independent judgment and technical expertise. The technologist is responsible for setting up equipment, positioning patients, and performing a variety of diagnostic procedures while ensuring patient safety, privacy, and comfort.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing and reviewing diagnostic exams according to established protocols
- Preparing patients and equipment, administering contrast safely, and verifying orders
- Maintaining equipment functionality, cleanliness, and safety standards
- Documenting procedures accurately and ensuring image quality
- Communicating clearly with patients, physicians, and staff to facilitate smooth operations
- Assisting with training and supporting departmental workflows
- Participating in quality control, safety, and regulatory compliance
Qualifications & Skills:
- Accredited program in Medical Technology and minimum one year of MRI experience
- Certifications: ARMRIT or ARRT-MRI, BLS or equivalent
- Excellent communication, customer service, and multitasking skills
- Knowledge of anatomy, pathology, MRI procedures, and safety protocols
- Ability to work independently, handle pressure, and prioritize tasks effectively
Additional Duties: Transporting patients, maintaining documentation, supporting team members, and complying with policies and standards. Willingness to perform on-call duties as needed.
