Role Overview
The Pharmacy Technician – Inpatient supports medication dispensing, transportation, and inventory management under supervision. Responsibilities include maintaining quality assurance standards, assisting in medication preparation and compounding, using electronic systems for inventory and patient records, and supporting inventory activities such as storage, ordering, and rotation.
Key Duties
- Stocking IV fluids and assessing inventory levels across hospital units
- Distributing IV fluids using stocking carts and reconciling inventory discrepancies
- Maintaining documentation and regulatory compliance
- Assisting with medication workflow, basic preparation, and compounding
- Supporting inventory storage, ordering, and cleanliness
Qualifications & Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- State Board Pharmacy Registration; Pharmacy Tech Certification preferred
- No prior experience required; entry-level role
The role involves frequent movement of heavy IV cases and pushing carts throughout the facility, requiring physical capability.
