Role: Echocardiography Technician specializing in non-invasive cardiac imaging under supervision.
Responsibilities: Perform various echocardiograms (2D, M-Mode, Doppler, TEE, stress echo) following established standards.
Key Duties: Ensure patient safety and proper identification, prepare patients, operate advanced ultrasound equipment, document procedures accurately, support quality assurance, and maintain a clean, organized workspace. Collaborate professionally with team members, resolve conflicts, prioritize STAT and routine orders, and participate in ongoing education.
Qualifications & Skills: Associate degree or completed accredited echo training preferred; high school diploma or GED required. Certification (RDCS or RCS) is mandatory. Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred. Experience with Philips ultrasound systems, TEE probes, and electronic health records is advantageous. Effective communication, critical thinking, technical proficiency, and the ability to work independently and in a team are essential.
This role involves flexible hours, variable shifts, and working on weekends and holidays to support patient care needs.
