Senior MRI Technologist – Radiation Oncology

Role Overview:

Seeking a Senior MRI Advanced Modality Technologist responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures independently, assisting in department quality assurance, and supporting regulatory compliance. The role involves preparing patients and equipment, conducting studies in various settings, and leading safety and process improvement initiatives. Mentorship and training of new employees and students are key duties, with responsibilities including departmental initiatives, patient experience enhancement, and employee engagement. The position requires working day shifts with no call or weekends, and offers a 5% advanced modality differential.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)) and/or MR
  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent from trade school (or higher)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience; MRI licensing preferred
  • Experience in radiology, medical imaging, or related fields preferred
  • Knowledge of MRI equipment and procedures; familiarity with regulatory standards (ACR, JC)
  • Strong mentorship, safety, and quality assurance skills

  • Preparing patients and equipment for MRI procedures
