Registered Respiratory Therapist – Full Time Nights

Role Overview

Provides comprehensive respiratory care to pediatric patients, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within hospital guidelines. Uses advanced clinical expertise to support patient care and serves as a resource to the healthcare team. Ensures patient safety through developmentally appropriate care, adhering to quality and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Effective communication and collaboration with the healthcare team, including documentation and handoffs.
  • Educating patients, families, and staff on respiratory treatments and procedures, utilizing diverse learning styles.
  • Performing diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures per established standards, troubleshooting as needed.
  • Applying advanced skills such as ECMO support, mechanical ventilation, bronchoscopies, and sleep lab procedures.
  • Maintaining professional growth through continuous learning and feedback.

Qualifications include an associate degree or CoARC-accredited program in Respiratory Therapy, licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT), and Basic Cardiovascular Life Support certification. A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
