Role Overview:
This position involves providing direct patient care in an acute care setting within a 25-bed unit specializing in complex medical cases. Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, with a focus on promoting patient and family-centered healing environments. The role requires developing individualized care plans, communicating across care teams, and educating patients and families on managing their health and post-discharge needs.
Key Duties:
- Participate in activities that ensure patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural factors.
- Document and implement care plans with clear goals in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients.
- Work in a safety-sensitive environment, demonstrating alertness and safety consciousness.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Current RN license required; no prior experience necessary, but two years of experience is preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills.
