We are seeking a knowledgeable Long Term Care RN for a travel assignment at a healthcare facility.
Responsibilities include:
- Assessing resident health and monitoring for changes
- Developing and updating personalized care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and healthcare teams
- Administering medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Providing skilled procedures such as wound care and IV therapy
- Supervising and supporting LPNs and CNAs, delegating tasks appropriately
- Educating residents and families on treatments and chronic condition management
- Documenting care, resident progress, and health changes
- Responding to emergencies and coordinating with medical teams
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Adhering to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
Qualifications and skills required:
- One year of recent LTC RN experience
- Valid RN license per state regulations
- Current BLS or CPR certification
- Critical thinking, effective communication, and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to move and assist with procedures
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and PC skills
- Ability to work under pressure, handle irregular activity, and maintain concentration
- Visual acuity and effective communication skills
