Radiology Technologist

Role Overview:

The Radiology Technologist performs general imaging procedures on adult and pediatric patients to assist in diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities include preparing patients and equipment, providing clear instructions, and independently conducting radiographic examinations, including portable and on-call tasks. This role emphasizes delivering high-quality, prompt imaging services with a focus on patient care and professionalism.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associates or Trade School education in radiologic technology
  • Licenses such as Radiology Technologist registration; IEMA for Illinois (excluding MRI)
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience and CPR certification
  • Ability to perform procedures independently, excellent customer service, and attention to detail

Key Duties:

  • Preparing patients and equipment for imaging procedures
  • Informing patients about procedures, ensuring comfort and safety
  • Executing radiographic exams accurately and efficiently
  • Responding promptly to departmental requests and assisting with portable and on-call exams
