Trauma Clinical Nurse

Role Overview:

Seeking a dedicated nurse for a Trauma Unit in a top-level Level I Trauma Center, caring for complex and critical injuries.
This full-time night position involves working three 12-hour shifts weekly, with a generous sign-on bonus. The unit, comprising combined trauma, geriatric trauma, and acute care surgery divisions, handles diverse patient populations, including motor vehicle accidents, gunshot and stab wounds, amputations, falls, spinal cord, and brain injuries, as well as emergency surgical cases. Nurses develop specialized skills in trauma and acute surgical care, with opportunities for career advancement into roles such as ED, SICU, or leadership positions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient-centered, compassionate care, including education on illness management, medication, and post-discharge needs.
  • Participate in safety, quality, and compliance activities, and engage in professional development.
  • Develop and communicate individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
  • Assess physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural values.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to safety-sensitive protocols.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Required: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree, RN license.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and two years of experience.
