Role: The Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessment, primarily in critical care settings.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver patient-centered respiratory treatments, manage ventilators, interpret waveforms, perform arterial blood gas analysis, and educate patients and families.
Additional Duties: Collaborate with healthcare teams, assist in invasive/non-invasive procedures, mentor new staff, ensure safety and quality standards, and participate in performance improvement initiatives.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy, valid certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, NBRC-RRT), and 0-2 years of clinical experience with critical care exposure.
Skills: Strong communication, critical thinking, relationship-building with healthcare professionals, proficiency with computer systems, and excellent assessment and customer service skills.
