Role Overview:
The ED Technician provides patient care under medical direction and supervision, supporting physicians and nursing staff. They collect clinical and psychosocial data within their certification scope, report findings, and assist in delivering direct and indirect patient care aligned with hospital policies and standards. The role emphasizes patient advocacy, collaboration, and commitment to high-quality care, helping to set new standards in nursing practice.
Responsibilities:
- Support clinical care according to physician orders and hospital policies
- Collect pertinent clinical and psychosocial data
- Report findings to RN and ED attending physician
- Provide direct and indirect patient care to meet healthcare needs
- Contribute to a collaborative and trusting care environment
Qualifications & Skills:
- Current Paramedic certification in Florida
- Minimum of one year Paramedic experience
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
- Graduate of an approved Paramedic Program with a High School Diploma or GED
- Clinical skills in pre-hospital and critical care transport are preferred
