The Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty Coordinator
provides patient care by coordinating resources and technical support, focusing on quality improvement, efficiency, and cost reduction.
Working under supervision, they evaluate patient responses to treatments and adjust care plans.
They review team performance, offer feedback and mentoring, and organize orientation, education, and clinical development activities.
Additionally, they manage department schedules and staffing for optimal patient throughput.
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (or Associates Degree for those hired before a specified date), minimum two years RN experience, with one year in a clinical specialty.
Required licensure includes a North Carolina or Compact state RN license and BLS certification.
