Clinical Nurse Supervisor

The Clinical Nursing Supervisor (RN) oversees daily operations of an acute care unit, ensuring safe, high-quality, patient-centered care. Key responsibilities include supervising clinical staff, managing staffing, scheduling, and resource utilization, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The role involves coaching, mentoring, and staff development, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and driving quality improvement initiatives. In the absence of leadership, the supervisor assumes responsibility for unit operations and provides direct patient care within RN scope.

Qualifications include a current RN license, BSN preferred, and minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, with leadership experience favored. Additional certifications like ACLS, BLS, and CCRN are preferred, along with professional certifications within two years.
