Mental Health Counselor

Role Overview:

The Senior Mental Health Counselor supports a new Walk-In Behavioral Health Clinic by providing counseling, education, and case management to clients within structured programs as part of a multidisciplinary team.
They assist in developing and maintaining program processes and group curricula, demonstrating advanced clinical skills and serving as a resource for other clinicians, while exemplifying core values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver clinical counseling, education, and case management services
  • Support program development and process maintenance
  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for staff
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related health field
  • Alaska licensure (Masters Social Worker, Clinical Social Worker, Psychologist, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Professional Counselor) upon hire
  • Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association)
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience
