Role Overview: The Occupational Therapist evaluates patients, develops and modifies treatment plans, and educates patients to achieve optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients across all age groups and determine appropriate treatment strategies.
- Measure patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Educate patients on therapy procedures and safety precautions.
- Implement therapy programs for both simple and complex diagnoses.
- Maintain knowledge of occupational therapy practices, equipment, and safety measures.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s preferred.
- Current Florida Occupational Therapy license and BLS certification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, positive problem-solving approach.
- Knowledge of therapy procedures, safety precautions, and remedial measures.
- Experience in hospital-based rehabilitation and splinting/orthotic fabrication is a plus.
