Radiology Technologist

The Radiology Technician Assistant supports the imaging department by transporting patients, positioning them for radiology exams, and assisting technologists with procedures involving plain films and fluoroscopy.

Key responsibilities include explaining procedures to patients, verifying their identity, preparing reports, following radiation safety protocols, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications require completion of a Radiology Technology program and relevant professional licenses or certifications, such as BLS and ARRT-R Radiography, depending on the state.

Physical demands involve constant standing, lifting, and moving patients and equipment.

Skills include excellent communication, attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work collaboratively.

Additional duties may include limited emergent CT procedures, maintaining a clean department, and performing other assigned tasks.
