Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Role: Nuclear Medicine Technologist responsible for assisting with specialized imaging procedures in a hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing and ensuring accuracy of nuclear medicine tests and procedures.
  • Calibrating equipment and conducting quality control on gamma cameras.
  • Explaining procedures to patients, ensuring comfort, and obtaining proper identification.
  • Handling radiopharmaceuticals according to safety protocols.
  • Supporting the nuclear physician during imaging procedures.
  • Adhering to hospital, state, and federal regulations.
  • Completing special assignments and ensuring test validity before releasing results.
  • Qualifications & Skills:
    Required: Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program, current NJ State license, ARRT and/or NMTCB certification, BLS certification.
    Preferred: Two years hospital experience, NMTCB Fusion or ARRT R, CT certification.
