MRI Technologist

Role Overview: Responsible for operating MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images as directed by physicians, performing routine procedures according to established standards, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients and adjust MRI equipment; instruct and position patients for procedures.
  • Administer IV contrast media and monitor patient condition during exams.
  • Perform MRI procedures accurately and efficiently, managing daily schedules.
  • Assist in staff and student training, and support MRI class preparations.
  • Maintain documentation for patient records, equipment usage, and quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare personnel on exam protocols.
  • Research lab data results and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from a radiologic technology program.
  • ARRT certification in Radiography and MRI upon hire.
  • Thorough knowledge of radiologic and MRI terminology, practices, and anatomy.
  • Effective communication, visual acuity, and ability to work in a team environment.

Preferred: 1-3 years MRI experience.
