Role and Responsibilities:
This position involves practicing professional nursing by performing independent and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted standards. Key duties include assessing patient health, developing care plans, triaging patients, and providing health education and counseling. The nurse ensures patient safety through adherence to safety policies, medication administration protocols, infection control, and emergency procedures. They execute delegated medical tasks such as administering intravenous therapy and medications, coordinating care, and referring patients to appropriate services. The role also involves advocating for patients, leading healthcare teams, and managing patient populations to optimize resource utilization and care quality.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum one year of RN experience and current operating room experience.
- Graduation from an accredited RN program with clinical experience under supervision.
- Valid Registered Nurse license (state-specific), BLS, and ACLS certifications.
- Strong customer service skills, knowledge of surgical instruments, sterile techniques, and intra-operative medications.
- Ability to work with interruptions, handle hazardous waste, and lift patients properly.
