Role Overview:
The Ambulatory Pharmacy Technician supports clinical pharmacists by managing appointments, gathering and documenting patient information through interviews with patients, families, caregivers, pharmacies, and providers.
They handle prior authorization processes and may administer vaccines within scope of practice. This full-time, on-site position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and pharmacy technical expertise.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Alaska Pharmacy Technician License upon hire
- National Certified Pharmacy Technician certification within 2 years of hire (if applicable)
- At least 1 year pharmacy technician experience with PTCB certification or 2 years without
Preferred Skills:
- Pharmacy technician training or coursework
- Customer service experience
