Clinical Nurse – Minimally Invasive PCU

Role Overview: Provides direct patient care in a fast-paced 28-bed Minimally Invasive PCU, specializing in postoperative and intermediate care, including bariatric, hernia, mastectomy, and minimally invasive procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts frequent assessments and monitors patient status closely.
  • Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
  • Educates patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
  • Promotes patient safety, quality care, and regulatory compliance.
  • Evaluates physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and barriers.
  • Participates in professional development and teamwork in a supportive environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • Educationally, a Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree is necessary; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience is not mandatory, but less than 2 years is preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work safely and maintain alertness in a safety-sensitive position.
