Role Overview: Provides direct patient care in a fast-paced 28-bed Minimally Invasive PCU, specializing in postoperative and intermediate care, including bariatric, hernia, mastectomy, and minimally invasive procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts frequent assessments and monitors patient status closely.
- Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
- Educates patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
- Promotes patient safety, quality care, and regulatory compliance.
- Evaluates physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and barriers.
- Participates in professional development and teamwork in a supportive environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Educationally, a Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree is necessary; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience is not mandatory, but less than 2 years is preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills.
- Ability to work safely and maintain alertness in a safety-sensitive position.
