Role: Occupational Therapist in Home Health
Responsibilities include:
- Assessing and evaluating patients’ functional status, activities of daily living, and occupational therapy needs in accordance with state laws and the plan of care
- Providing evidence-based therapy services within scope of practice, collaborating with healthcare team members, and developing treatment plans
- Monitoring patient responses to treatment, documenting changes, and communicating findings to nurses and physicians
- Conducting assessments to determine functional ability using diagnostic tests
- Delivering care in diverse home environments, regardless of patient demographics
Qualifications and skills:
- Current occupational therapy licensure in the practicing state
- Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, or access to reliable transportation
- Preferred: CPR certification, ability to handle multiple tasks independently, strong communication, organization, and writing skills
