We are seeking a Medical Assistant Pediatrics to support clinical operations in a healthcare setting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting clinicians with routine clinical procedures and tests
- Preparing patients for examinations and measuring vital signs
- Ensuring all pre-visit work is completed and lab/test results are documented in the EMR
- Updating and maintaining accurate patient records, including demographics, medications, allergies, and medical history
- Recommending patient preparation and testing requirements
- Reconciliation of medications and managing prescriptions
- Performing point-of-care testing (e.g., strep, urine, glucose)
- Providing patient education and addressing concerns
- Supporting efficient patient flow and communication about visit status
Qualifications include:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant Certification preferred
- Computer literacy and EMR experience
- Preferred: Associate degree in medical assisting, BLS certification, and ≥1 year clinical or customer service experience
- Knowledge of testing procedures, reagent storage, and test result factors
