Role Overview:
Provides professional nursing care in ICU and Cardiac Neuro ICU units, adhering to state nursing practice acts and hospital policies.
Employs critical thinking to assess patient conditions, recognize changes, plan and evaluate care, monitor progress, and document observations.
Delegates appropriate tasks to staff and collaborates as part of a team to achieve unit goals.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing (Associate Degree acceptable with a plan to obtain a Bachelor’s within five years).
Current Illinois RN licensure, CPR certification, and ACLS within six months of hire.
2-5 years of critical care nursing experience.
Key Duties:
Provide safe, evidence-based care, monitor patient status, and document observations.
Coordinate with team members and delegate tasks appropriately.
Ensure compliance with licensing, certification, and hospital policies.
