Key responsibilities include:
- Following state laws and supervising physical therapists’ treatment plans
- Instructing and assisting patients with exercises, gait, transfers, and safety training
- Monitoring and documenting patient responses and communicating with healthcare team members
- Educating patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques within scope
Qualifications:
- Current license or certification in physical therapy assistance
- CPR certification
- Valid driver’s license, access to reliable transportation, and ability to work in diverse home environments
- Willingness to work weekend rotations
Preferred skills: Physical ability to perform patient mobility tasks such as lifting and transferring.
