Role: Registered Nurse – Inpatient & Outpatient Wound & Ostomy
Responsibilities: Develops and evaluates individualized care plans, assesses patient health data, communicates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams, and provides education tailored to patient needs. Supports professional development of colleagues, offers psychological support, assists with technical procedures, participates in performance improvement and research, and monitors wound/ostomy treatment effectiveness. Ensures HIPAA compliance and assists with transporting acutely ill patients.
Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN), active RN license in Illinois, ACLS, BLS, and CPR certifications required. Preferred experience in ICU, ER, Radiology, or Wound/Ostomy care, with additional certifications such as CWON or CWCN.
Key Duties: Patient assessment, care planning, education, collaboration with healthcare team, wound and ostomy management, and participation in professional development activities.
