We are seeking a dedicated Critical Care Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care for intermediate‑acuity patients transitioning from critical care to Med/Surg levels.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized nursing care using evidence‑based practices.
- Performing accurate hand‑offs and bedside shift reports to ensure patient safety.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including physicians and advanced practitioners to optimize patient outcomes.
- Administering medications, monitoring complex conditions (cardiac, respiratory, post-ICU), and supporting recovery.
- Participating in unit‑based quality improvement initiatives, huddles, and shared governance activities.
Qualifications include:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN; BSN preferred).
- Current Missouri RN license or compact license.
- Required certifications: BLS; additional certifications like ACLS, NIHSS, PCCN are preferred.
