Position Overview
This role involves providing direct nursing care on a 24-bed post-operative bariatric unit specializing in weight loss surgeries such as Gastric Bypass and Sleeve Gastrectomy.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement, monitor, and communicate patient care plans in accordance with organizational policies.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary efforts to ensure well-organized patient care.
- Follow physician and nursing orders accurately.
- Assess discharge planning needs in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Qualifications & Skills
- Current RN licensure or eligibility through the Alabama Board of Nursing.
- BLS certification obtained within 30 days of hire, accepted from American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Diploma from an accredited nursing program and professional licensure at the time of hire.
