Role Overview: The Physical Therapy Assistant collaborates with physical therapists to develop and implement programs that improve mobility, strength, coordination, and range of motion for patients with diseases or injuries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement treatment plans, select appropriate activities, and revise goals in collaboration with therapists and patients.
- Provide patient and family education, discharge instructions, and referrals to community resources.
- Document treatment sessions and complete required documentation per protocols.
- Maintain ethical standards, confidentiality, punctuality, and adhere to dress code and infection prevention protocols.
- Deliver excellent customer service by fostering a positive environment, applying communication principles, and encouraging teamwork.
- Participate in ongoing professional development, mandatory education, and training activities.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma and Associates Degree in Physical Therapy.
- Licenses and certifications: PTA and BLS required upon hire.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
