Role: Respiratory Therapist responsible for providing respiratory care, oxygen services, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support to patients of all ages.
Responsibilities:
- Administer therapeutic procedures, monitor and wean oxygen therapy and ventilation support.
- Perform diagnostic tests such as Arterial Blood Gases and EKGs.
- Assist with airway management and follow physician orders in accordance with policies.
- Educate patients and staff on procedures and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and stay current with certifications and technical knowledge.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, standards, and safety protocols.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate’s Degree and current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
- Credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care (CRT).
- Certifications: BLS, NRP (for NICU), and ACLS (within 90 days).
- Proficient in computer skills, effective communication, and strong analytical and interpersonal abilities.
Additional Duties: Maintain professional certifications, attend staff meetings, and adhere to safety and compliance standards. The role involves exposure to infectious materials and requires physical effort for moving objects and supporting patient care activities.
