Position Overview:
- Provides professional nursing care in the operative setting for patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
- Performs scrub functions, handling instruments and supplies, and circulating functions, monitoring patient condition, and managing overall nursing care before, during, and after procedures.
- Assists physicians with surgical tasks such as hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning.
- Prepares operating rooms, instruments, and equipment for use.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credential from the Alabama Board of Nursing, obtained prior to hire.
- BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire, accepted from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Diploma from an accredited nursing school.
Additional Information:
- Work schedule is Monday-Friday, 6 am-2:30 pm, with no weekends, call, or holidays.
