Role Overview: This position involves planning, delivering, documenting, and evaluating nursing care for correctional health patients, ensuring individual needs are met according to provider orders and established standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Directing nursing staff activities Assessing, observing, and reporting patient conditions Maintaining accurate and timely care documentation Upholding organizational mission, values, and customer service standards
Qualifications & Skills:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure in Ohio Current Basic Life Support certification or obtained within 90 days Solid knowledge of nursing theory, medical sciences, and aseptic techniques Proficiency with nursing instruments, equipment, and supplies Ability to foster positive relationships with staff and medical teams Strong physical coordination and dexterity
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing Correctional health care experience Specialty certifications such as CCN or CCHP
Physical & Environmental Requirements: Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, and walk; lift and push heavy loads with assistance; and work in environments with exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, chemicals, and cleaning products.
