Role Overview:
Provides direct patient care in the Operating Room setting, focusing on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educates on post-treatment needs, and ensures safety and quality compliance. Develops and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and families, considering psychosocial, emotional, and cultural needs. Maintains a safe environment and demonstrates critical nursing skills.
Qualifications & Skills:
– RN licensure required.
– Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience, preferably in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
– Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s; BSN preferred.
– Ability to work in a safety-sensitive role, with alertness and professionalism essential.
Key Duties:
– Educate patients and families about care and post-discharge instructions.
– Participate in safety, quality, and regulatory activities.
– Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and communicate care plans.
– Assess patients’ physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
– Engage in ongoing professional development.
