Role Overview: A registered nurse responsible for providing independent, routine, and complex patient care in a clinical setting. Demonstrates clinical competence, manages contingencies, and delegates tasks to care team members to ensure quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—for assigned patients.
- Address patients’ psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs.
- Administer medications and treatments following protocols, monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately.
- Assess learning needs and educate patients, families, and caregivers, identifying issues and resources.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
- Current RN license and BLS certification required; ACLS certification required.
- Completion of orientation, competency validations, and participation in residency or orientation programs as needed.
- Knowledge of ANA standards and organizational competencies.
