Registered Nurse – ICU

Role Overview:
The registered nurse practices independently in a clinical setting, providing both routine and complex patient care.
They assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions while addressing patients’ psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs.
The nurse administers medications, monitors treatment effects, documents patient information, and educates patients and families.
< strong>Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver nursing care aligned with professional standards and organizational competencies.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately to care team members.
  • Manage complex clinical situations with ongoing development of contingency skills.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient history, symptoms, and care provided.
  • Assess learning needs and provide patient and caregiver education.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year nursing experience in a related specialty preferred; new graduates considered.
  • Valid RN license and BLS certification required; ACLS certification required for certain roles.
  • Completion of organizational onboarding, competency validation, and annual requirements.
  • Additional certifications such as PALS, TNCC, or NRP may be required within specified timeframes.

Additional Requirements:
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to address diverse patient needs and provide education.
  • Participation in orientation and ongoing competency validation.
